Youth Development Coordinator
Position Overview
The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for leading and growing the entire beginner hockey pathway at KIIH. This position oversees every stage of a young player's journey—from Preschool Learn to Skate through Learn to Skate, Introduction to Pucks, Hockey 101, and into the KIIH 6U, 7U, and 8U Development Programs.
This is more than an administrative role. The Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with families, organizing staff, growing participation, and creating a positive culture that reflects the KIIH mission.

The Youth Development Coordinator is entrusted with building and growing the entire youth development experience. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Parent Communication
• Respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
• Guide new families through registration.
• Maintain regular communication.
Administration
• Manage registrations.
• Maintain attendance and rosters.
• Coordinate seasonal enrollment.
Program Operations
• Prepare equipment and facilities before every session.
• Coordinate instructor assignments.
• Ensure sessions run professionally.
Staff Leadership
• Schedule instructors.
• Find substitutes.
• Develop and support staff.
Growth & Recruitment
• Increase enrollment.
• Build community partnerships.
• Support marketing initiatives.
• Improve retention.
Future Development
• Assist in launching and growing the 6U, 7U, and 8U development pathway.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Passion for youth development
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Leadership ability
• Basic computer skills
• Hockey, skating, education, or youth sports experience preferred
Compensation
- Part-Time W-2 Employee
- One-Year Employment Agreement
- Hybrid Position (Home & Rink)
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week (seasonal)
- Potential Annual Compensation: $5,000–$11,000+ depending on program growth and performance.

Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing children—not just hockey players. A hockey background is valuable, but the right person doesn't need to be a high-level coach. They could be a passionate hockey parent, educator, youth sports leader, or mentor who understands child development and loves working with kids.

Work Environment
- Primarily remote/work-from-home.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Required attendance at KIIH below porgrams.
- Occasional meetings with facility partners, sponsors, and community organizations.
